Creepy Bea soon becomes down right sinister (Picture: BBC/Jack Barnes/Kieron McCarron)
Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton) is one of the kindest and sweetest women EastEnders has ever seen, which unfortunately makes her a prime target for those with cruel intentions. Enter Bea Pollard (Ronni Ancona).
Now, it’s safe to say that Bea is pretty creepy, isn’t it? Perhaps not initially, but it soon became rather apparent that she’s a deeply devious character.
When Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) was deeply hesitant to attend a high school reunion, Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) and Honey convinced her to attend, the latter even offering to accompany her to the event.
When Honey was denied entry having not been placed on the guest list, however, Linda encouraged her to pretend to be Bea, a plan utterly destroyed when the real Bea arrived and poured forth with stories of what, for lack of a better term, a total bitch Linda had been in school.
Regretful, Linda and Honey attempt to return Bea’s bag, having accidentally taken it, and find Bea being kicked out by her landlord. Determined to make things right, Linda brought her back to Albert Square and secured her a space at her mum, Elaine Peacock’s (Harriet Thorpe) boutique B&B, before Bea ended up on a fake date with Max Branning (Jake Wood).

Frustrated by failing to secure a job with Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt), Bea turned her attention to the Minute Mart. Saving Honey from the actions of a shoplifter, she later faked a break in, this time in full view of manager Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota), securing herself some trial shifts.
Bonding quickly with her new co-worker, Bea diverted all of her attention to Honey, quickly worming her way into her life and becoming her best friend, with only Honey’s husband, Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick), concerned about their growing bond.
When Honey injured herself at work, Bea stole a bottle of wine from the shop and concocted a scheme to sue Suki for an enormous pay out. Plying Honey with alcohol, she coaxed tea from her, while later watching as Honey typed out an email to Suki, demanding compensation for workplace negligence and sexual harassment, before drunkenly sending it.

Crossing Suki has long been established as being hazardous to ones health, and she responded to the threats with a double sacking. Though Bea managed to manipulate Vinny into rehiring Honey, she herself was left out in the cold. A clash with Linda leaves Bea feeling unsettled at the hotel, and Honey, feeling guilty, offers her the chance to housesit for her while she and the family go away.

Next week sees Linda’s Mother’s Day celebration sour quickly, with Johnny still dismissing her. Feeling pressured to invite Bea, it quickly becomes apparent that she and Elaine can’t get along when digs and shade starts being thrown by the bucket load.
Heading back to Honey and Billy’s, Bea sets about applying for a credit card. Disheartened when she’s immediately rejected, she changes tack, and instead applies with Honey’s details…
With Bea’s behaviour set to cause enormous ramifications for Honey, it’s not a case of it, but how much trouble she’ll bring to her ‘best friends’ door.
